This year's exhibit at Oshkosh was even cooler than last year's. Temperatures stayed in the "comfortable" 70's and 80's but our exhibits were hot! Although we featured the ISS U.S. Laboratory scheduled to be placed on the International Space Station, other exhibits included a kiosk containing a model of the ISS, the "Picture Yourself in Space" photo shoot, the Mini-Drop tower demonstrator, the ISS 3-D Video booth and the "Dock the Shuttle" simulation which was sent by JSC. Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) sponsored the GBX and ISS MSG gloveboxes, a microgravity materials science display, and several SPD exhibits including two from the University of Wisconsin. Thousands of NASA meatball-decorated plastic bags, NASA decals and thousands of pieces of literature and posters on Microgravity Science and the SPD Program were distributed to visitors. Our exhibit was housed in the EAA Action Pavilion and complemented the other large NASA aeronautics, aerospace technology and aerospace propulsion exhibits and JSC's impressive ISS trailers and the "Benefits of Space" trailer. About 50 volunteers from GRC, MSFC and the Wisconsin CSCs participated to make this activity a huge success. Click on the links below to reach the various pages of the exhibit.
