6728 Fluids Flight Projects Branch

 

Responsible for project management during the formulation, approval, and implementation project phases of the Shuttle cargo bay, Middeck, Spacehab, ISS PI-specific, Glovebox, and sounding rocket payloads which enable the Microgravity Fluid Physics Science Program flight investigations.

Responsible for all Phase A (early formulation) engineering activities for these investigations. These efforts generally involve the development of breadboard hardware for testing in GRC laboratories and ground-based microgravity facilities.

Branch members act as Phase A experiment engineers, Experiment Managers, Project Managers, or Deputy Project Managers. Branch members may also develop enabling technologies for future flight experiments.
