6724 ISS Facility Projects Branch

 

Responsible for the formulation and approval phases of the Fluids and Combustion Facility (FCF) Project to include requirements definition, design concepts, acquisition planning and preparation and request of ATP (authority to proceed).

Responsible for the implementation of the FCF to include the management, design and development, integration and test, and deployment and operation of the FCF ground and flight systems..

Responsible for the ongoing mission management function of the FCF to include development of FCF upgrades, sustaining engineering of the FCF System, both the flight and ground segments, and, in conjunction with the PI Experiment Team, the analytical and physical integration of PI experiment hardware with the FCF, and ISS, on an increment by increment basis.

Responsible for the coordination and development of integration agreements with commercial and international users of the FCF, in conjunction with the Combustion Science and Fluid Physics Programs.

Responsible for the implementation of the MSD Mission Integration Team (MIT), to include providing the Chairperson and developing and maintaining the GRC MSD ISS Traffic Model.

Responsible for representing the MSD research and research priorities to the MRPO and ISS Program working groups during planning and real-time increment operations.
