After
a space shuttle mission and upon retrieval of SAMS data from
Mir, PIMS provides the microgravity user community with a
Summary Report of Mission Acceleration Measurements, a standardized
overview of the vibration and acceleration activity recorded
by SAMS and OARE during the mission. Specific data processing
requests are also supported in near real-time and post mission.
PIMS provides SAMS and OARE data through CD-ROM distribution
and SAMS and OARE data through file server access. SAMS data
collected on missions up to and including STS-73 are available
on CD-ROM from PIMS. PIMS also has available a variety of
information about specific microgravity missions, accelerometer
systems, and vibration and acceleration data.
PIMS provides its customers with a range of services. Data
analysis and interpretation support is provided to all users.
Near real-time analysis is available on missions with downlinked
accelerometer data.
